It didn't matter which our I sent a message at or had questions for they answer the phone and replied in a quick and timely manner. I wasn't sure what we wanted when we got started but they help me to narrow down my choices and the right area and pick things that I wasn't even sure I wanted and needed. Not only that when I bought my house they followed up and had really good recommendations for any kind of things that I needed on it. ZillowVERIFIED I would without a doubt recommend Alan and Betsy to anyone looking to either buy or sell a home. We did both with them. On the selling side, they did a fantastic job. We priced the house just about where I had expected, if not a little higher, and we sold it after just one weekend on the market. Betsy came in and made some honest, and great recommendations for what I could do to make my house stand out. After doing what Betsy recommended, she had a photographer come in and the pictures they took almost had me wanting to buy my house!! They looked amazing, I couldn't believe it was my house. That really made my house stand out from the others and I believe that's what sold my house so quickly. From the buying side, they were extremely patient with us. Showed us the houses we asked to see, then the houses they thought we should see. I would have NEVER gone to see the house I purchased on my own, I didn't think I could touch it with my price range. They worked their negotiation skills, and dealt with the most impossible listing agent, and got me in to a home that checked off every box on my list. They didn't let me settle. Icing on the cake, my children loved Alan and Betsy. My 2 year old was so let down that Betsy didn't come with the house. They truly care about their customers, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

I first met the Thompsons when Alan quickly sold a home I co-owned in Virginia Beach under difficult circumstances. Through docu-sign he was able to provide me with all of the documents and information needed to facilitate the sale without having to be put in an uncomfortable situation. He was always available via text, phone, or email to discuss my question and concerns and everything went over without a hitch. I was so pleased with his service and professionalism that when I decided to purchase another home I reached out to him for references. I was quite excited when he informed me that his wife Betsy was also an agent and would be able to help my boyfriend and me with our search. We met her for coffee and immediately hit it off. Her sense of humor and vast knowledge made the whole process a pleasure. She helped us narrow our search and we were able to find our dream home that met our very specific criteria in only one day. Afterwards she showed us her notes and it turned out this was the house she had originally "picked" for us! We an offer and were able to get our dream home for 30K less than it was listed for. She set us up with a lender, insurance agents, and a home inspector who were all so easy to work with. Before we knew it we were ready to close on our new home in Mathews Virginia! She even got us a housewarming gift and keeps in touch through holiday cards. Without hesitation I would recommend the Thompsons to anyone I know who is looking to buy or sell a house in southeastern Virginia, from the "Seven Cities" to the historic triangle to the middle peninsula. They are prompt, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and easily accessible. If you want to avoid the stress normally associated with buying or selling a house, they won't let you down.
