About Ashley Shaffer
Ashley is a native New Mexican, raised in Santa Fe and Farmington before attending college in California. She was compelled to return to her native roots, realizing the Land of Enchantment is "as good as it gets" for a great quality of life! Upon her return, her first work assignment was with a non-profit writing grants for a multi-family housing developer. Through her new colleagues, Ashley was thrilled to be introduced to the idea of making real estate her lifetime career where she could combine her knowledge of housing and her passion for helping others. She grew her business organically and quickly by knocking on doors, holding open houses every weekend, and providing quality service to her clients.
In her first year as a Realtor, Ashley was chosen "Rookie of the Year" by the Greater Albuquerque Real Estate Association. We worked with this group twice in the last 4 years and have had lovely experiences with both of the agents we worked with: Ashley and Avery. Our first experience with Ashley about 4 years ago was a little unconventional, because we purchased the home we were renting (and it was during the pandemic). Nevertheless, Ashley provided very clear communication and was very patient with us as first-time homebuyers who didn't know much about how the process worked. We learned a lot, and felt like we were working with a friend (not someone we had only just met). Fast-forward to 2022, and we started to search for a new home as our family began to grow. We started working with Ashley and Avery together, and then continued to work with Avery alone as our housing search dragged on and on. We were about the pickiest buyers out there, and my husband and I had near exact opposite ideas of what we wanted to see in the new home. Regardless, Avery remained steadfast in patience and understanding, and assured us that there was, in fact, some home out there that would satisfy us both (and our budget). He wasn't wrong, and now here we are 2 years later, having just closed on the dream home that checked all the boxes, just before the holidays! This group is full of amazing people, and if you have the pleasure to work with either Avery or Ashley, you will be met with competence, understanding, and just general kindness that is pretty hard to find in the real estate world. You'll feel like a human, not just another customer. And you won't be rushed or pressured to make a decision that isn't the right one for you and your family. You'll also be offered many opportunities to learn about the home-buying process, so you know what you're signing and why, and you'll understand how making an offer works. Also - their list of competent connections is refreshing. They know all kinds of specialist who can help with anything from roofing and skylights, to plumbing, painting, stucco, and more. It's really helpful to have their references because you know they aren't going to refer someone who will do a bad job. Takes a little of the legwork out of that part of the home-buying process. TL;DR - I highly recommend this group, and will work with them again in the future as our needs evolve. :)
