ZillowVERIFIEDI rarely take the time to write negative reviews, but my experience with Andrew Atwood was disappointing enough that I feel obligated to share it to help others make an informed decision. When Andrew was new to the real estate business, he helped us sell our first home and purchase our second home. At that time, we trusted his advice because we were not very knowledgeable about homes and repairs. Looking back, I feel that trust was misplaced. Whenever concerns came up about the condition of the home we were buying, his response was often, "It's an easy fix." Unfortunately, many of those issues turned out to be far more complicated and expensive than we were led to believe. Years later, when it was time to sell that same home, the experience was completely different. Suddenly, many of the things that were supposedly "easy fixes" became major concerns that needed to be repaired before selling. The inconsistency was frustrating and made us question the advice we had received when purchasing the property. As a seller, I did not feel that Andrew was advocating for our best interests. Instead of working to maximize the value of our home, it often felt like the focus was on making a quick sale. He encouraged concessions and price reductions, and I had to push for a higher asking price and better negotiation on my own. Communication was also very poor. After we moved out of state, we received very few updates about showings or activity on the property. I often had to reach out for information myself, and at times I relied on neighbors for updates. Even after repair and improvement work was completed, we never received final photos of the finished house. Another issue was the cost of repairs and improvements. We were told certain work, such as carpeting and painting, would be relatively inexpensive, but the final bill was much higher than expected. Overall, I found the experience unprofessional, with too many personal excuses, poor communication, inconsistent advice, and a lack of advocacy for us as clients. I cannot recommend Andrew Atwood based on our experience as both buyers and sellers. If you are choosing a realtor, I would strongly encourage you to do your research and consider all your options before making a decision.

My wife's work was bringing us from overseas to Rochester and we did not want to wait until we arrived to start looking for a home. So, during the months before we were set to arrive Andrew was running around to interested houses and sending us complete video tours. It was his detailed narration in the videos on what to be aware of and look out for when buying a home in this region that helped ready us to be homeowners in Rochester. When we arrived in town Andrew again hit the ground running, but this time with us in tow. In short order we found a perfect home for us, and with Andrew's guidance in making a competitive offer, the home became ours. Simply put, Andrew is our kind of realtor: diligent, conscientious, knowledgeable, motivated, and he fixes pipesaEUR|. For real!... He was there the next day with me and came the following day after that for pictures. A few days later it was listed and went live. 5 days in we accepted an offer. We closed when I wanted, he was very responsive and helpful in answering my questions the entire time. When I moved out while we were waiting for closing he took the time to go check on my house to make sure everything was still fine. He is very much a go getter and I would recommend him to anyone. Selling our house and finding a different house at the top of the market was not an easy task.. He made what could have been a stressful and difficult process as seamless as could be. I cant speak highly enough of Andrew as our real estate agent. His professionalism, knowledge, honesty, integrity and hard work ethics are very much appreciated and respected. Andrew really listened, cares passionately about his job and his calming manner worked wonders for us. Should I add: Andrew is also like a home inspector who is very knowledgeable about important construction and equipments so when he shows the house to his buyers he gives a very good outlook about the house and gives you an idea about the home condition which in long run is very helpful to decide if you want to buy that specific house or not. He also helped us to find a handy man to when we needed it. The photos and the video he took for our house was amazing. He kept us apprised about available appointments and always let us know as soon as a new one came on the market. He was honest and forthright- no games. After dealing with several other brokers in the Rochester area and he was the BEST one, we felt lucky to find Andrew.

ZillowVERIFIED From the first moment I met Drew, I knew I was going to be taken care of. I would have never known he had any other clients other then my kids and myself. This was shown in more ways then one. First, he got me set up with an email showing me a few homes with in a matter of seconds of our phone conversation ending. He also answered every single phone call I ever made to him. It didn't matter if it was 7 am or 10 pm, he answered. He would spend however much time was needed on those phone calls. Drew answered every single question I threw at him, and trust me there were a couple of tough ones. He answered it with honesty and integrity, which is something that is very important to me in all aspects of life. I had complete trust in him within the first couple of days working with him. I knew he was very knowledgeable about the field he worked in, so when I was unsure about something or just needed the "if this was you in this situation, what would you do or suggest," I knew I could count on an honest, caring, and selfless answer. He was very personable and funny, and far exceeded any expectations I had going into this. I would highly recommend using Andrew for your buying or selling needs.
