My wife and I were I absolutely convinced that the current environment would make for a painful process- weve bought and sold 3 homes, and we were sure this time around, with limited inventory and a frenzied market, would be a nightmare. Our experience proved to be the opposite; Amelia was fantastic to work with. She was always available and communicated promptly. Her expertise and helpful tips steered us away from a couple properties that had issues that werent readily apparent. ZillowVERIFIED We first started considering purchasing a home in the DMV area in late 2019; while doing some casual research on real estate in this area, we came across Amelia on Reddit, and decided to reach out to talk to her about buying a house. During our initial ?discovery? trip to look at a few homes in NoVA, we were struck by a couple of things: firstly, how well Ameila understood our wants and needs in a home and had taken us to see places that fit the bill perfectly, and secondly, how much she emphasized us shopping around to find the right fit for us. Upon her urging, we actually spoke to a couple of other real estate agents, but felt the most comfortable with Ameila and decided to proceed with her. Well, fast forward a couple of months and between a job change and a global pandemic, we decided to put our house search on pause for a while. When, finally, in early 2021 we decided to get serious about home buying again, we reached out to Amelia and she was as enthusiastic and helpful as we remembered. We are first time home buyers so we needed a fair bit of hand holding during each step- particularly the insane housing market that NoVA has been experiencing for the past several months, and we felt supported in every way. All Amelia?s recommendations were amazing, and we were able to schedule showings incredibly quickly. During the actual purchasing process, Amelia was incredibly proactive, super communicative, and helped us submit the strongest offer possible. Even after our offer was accepted, she and her team were extremely organized and communicative in helping us get to closing, and have been communicative and supportive even after closing- we certainly feel very well taken care of! If it was possible to give Amelia Robinette and her team more than 5 stars we would, because she made our home buying experience (even in this crazy market) stress free and smooth!

ZillowVERIFIED I can?t imagine going through the journey of being a first-time home-buyer with anyone other than Amelia Robinette. At the very beginning of the COVID crisis, I reached out to Amelia asking if she thought I would be crazy to suggest searching for a home ASAP. With zero hesitation, Amelia took me under her wing, miraculously located hand sanitizer and wipes, and we set out to find me a home! While I do currently have crazy good job security (I work in infectious disease), I am also a single mother and I had a restrictive budget with which to work. It took a little while and a lot of patience on my part (I was just TOO excited!) for us to find the right home, but we did! Amelia was basically a miracle-worker: she found me a single-family home within my budget, within my school district (inside the Beltway!), BEFORE the house went to market. In a SUPER HOT seller?s market, I was able to purchase a home for a price similar to many townhomes in the area. Not only did we have great overall success, but I also trust Amelia explicitly with all the ?scary? (to me) details that come with purchasing a home for the first time. Going into this process, I had no clue how to go about getting home inspections, title searches, etc., and fear of this process was a huge hurdle I never even had to jump because Amelia guided me through the entire obstacle course. I truly don?t think I can overemphasize that Amelia is an amazing real estate expert, AND an honestly good human being. My real estate motto: ?Trust in Amelia.?

Its important to interview several realtors to find the one that is the best match for you. We were both very impressed with Amelia at the initial interview - she was very knowledgeable and professional, and she came prepared with a binder full of information as well as listings that she offered to take us to see that day (with no obligation to hire her). I wish I could say we hired her on the spot - we actually went with another realtor who was recommended to us by a family friend. Big mistake. ZillowVERIFIED Amelia was absolutely the right person to help us become first-time homeowners. We had done a lot of research on our own, and had started going to open houses and felt a bit lost. In comes Amelia. Our first call with her was great and I got the vibe that she knows what shes talking about. She then lined up houses for us to look at for us to get an idea of how she works and what to expect. She came with a binder for us that was SO helpful as a resource at each stage of the process. Over the course of the weeks, Amelia was super responsive in sending us homes to look up (some offlist) and in scheduling and seeing properties. Her honest feedback on the houses was incredibly appreciated, since we didnt know everything to be looking out for as new buyers. She told us if it was too much shed cut it down, but we were ALL for it. Once we finally found our house, Amelia was so helpful in reassuring that it is a good house for us.
