ZillowVERIFIED Amanda is an outstanding agent who always had our best interests at the forefront of whatever she did. As a former math teacher, she was excellent at the numbers side of purchasing a home. Her teaching background also gave her a lot of insight into the schools and neighborhoods in and around the Greater Asheville/Western Carolina region. She also has a very keen eye for value in a hot market. Here abilities and energy far surpassed our expectations. But the thing we really valued the most in working with Amanda was what I started this review with: she ALWAYS had our best interests in mind in whatever she did. For example, there was a home we were being emotional about and willing to overpay for and Amanda was very calm and professional in talking us down from an emotional decision that would have been horrible for us but good for her (she would have received a larger commission). I have always heard that most agents are working for a commission, not for you. That is the farthest thing from the truth with Amanda. She is professional, knowledgeable, personable, and so helpful. She takes her obligations as an agent (i.e., someone who represents the best interests of someone else in a position of trust) very seriously. She went above and beyond to help us find the home of our dreams and we could not be more grateful for her help.

Although she is a genuinely nice person, it's almost as if this isn't her full time job and we felt lacking in attention and responsiveness to a lot of our concerns. My wife and I have dealt with a lot of realtors and we had high hopes with her, but again and again we seemed to be sold rather than to be treated like we were hiring someone to sell our house. We wish her the best of luck. This is the last time we will be using a realtor.

Amanda always took the time to help me and reassure me no matter how silly or insignificant I thought the question or concern sounded. Even when a house wasn't listed on "traditional" real estate sites, Amanda didn't hesitate to investigate the situation for me. I felt like she always had my back and was really invested in finding a home that would be a good fit for me. She was always quick to answer my emails and/or texts, which was so very important because good deals go so fast in this market. Working with Amanda was a pleasure, even when my closing didn't go as planned. I hit a few bumps in the "financial" road with my original bank, but Amanda didn't let that stop the process. She quickly contacted some people and helped me figure out a different path. I felt like she always was willing to go the extra steps to help me and I will be forever grateful that I was able to go through this process with her by my side.
