ZillowVERIFIED I had a very disappointing experience working with Alice as my buyers agent. She did not seem to have her clients best interests in mind. When she knew I liked a house, she pushed me to offer over asking price, even though the seller didnt have any other offers at that time. During inspection, I pointed out several major issues that needed repair, but instead of supporting me, she warned that the seller might back out and take another offer if I insisted. For smaller repairs, she suggested I just hire my own handyman instead of asking the seller. This was my second home purchase. My first agent in another transaction even gave me a rebate toward closing costs. In this deal, Alice only gave me a $100 gift card and a cookware set. I later found out that many agents in todays market offer up to a 1% rebate to buyer, something I was never informed about. If you are a home buyer, I recommend finding an agent who truly represents your interests and is willing to offer a fair rebate (many good agents in the area do 1%). Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Alice based on my experience.
