    About Alex Schafers

My name is Alex Schafers. I have lived in the Cincinnati area my whole life and plan on staying! I have a lot of pride in what I do and look forward to servicing Cincinnati for many more years. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2016 where I received a degree in education. During my Junior year of college, I decided to get my real estate license and I started selling real estate at just 20 years old. I quickly fell in love with the business. After graduating, I knew I belonged in real estate and I started to do real estate full time. In 2017, I ranked number one in volume in my office (Remax United Associates). I am one of the youngest members in The CABR Circle of Excellence. I am in the top 1% of agents in the City and I am extremely blessed to do what I am doing and I am very excited to continue to grow my business. My goal is to be the top agent in all of Cincinnati one day! I look forward to servicing you!

    Answered Questions

Can I buy a house without a real estate agent?

Yes, you can. You would have to sign a disclosure saying you are unrepresented. Might not be the best idea to be unrepresented, especially if you do not have experience.

Can I sell as-is if I still owe a lot on my mortgage?

YesaEUR"you can sell your home " as-is,aEUR? but financing can be a hurdle. FHA, VA, and many conventional loans may require repairs if the roof or foundation has issues. That means some buyers won't qualify. Your best options are cash buyers or those using rehab loans. Expect buyers to factor in risk and uncertainty, often discounting the price more than the actual repair costs. Pricing and positioning the home correctly is key to getting it sold. One thing to consider is to find a contractor that will do the work upfront and get paid out of the settlement statement(proceeds). This would be my recommendation to optimize sales price.
