About Alex Roy

Born and raised in a small-town in Canada's prairies, I moved to Portland in 2009. I instantly fell in love with Portland for its incredible greenery throughout the year, the abundance of outdoor recreation, the vibrant neighborhoods, and the wonderful sense of community. Since moving here, I have been actively involved in various organizations and projects in Portland's east-side communities, including coaching youth sports, volunteering with the Red Cross to increase our city's level of preparedness, and keeping active as a local musician. As a full-time Realtor in Portland, I love what I do. I love the excitement of working with home buyers because of the incredible joy that comes with a home purchase. Buying a home is a process of turning a dream into reality and I always feel extremely privileged to be a part of that process. I also have a great deal of experience in selling homes in East-side Portland. However, unlike other agents in the business, I specialize in assisting court appointed personal representatives of an estate when they are responsible for a home that is in probate. I am passionate about what I do and am often described as very positive and energetic. I am passionate about honesty, integrity, ethical industry practices, and providing the absolute best representation available today. And, whether you are buying or selling a home, I will always act with only your best interests at heart, take care of all of the details of the transaction, and instill you with a confidence that nothing will fall through the cracks.

As PR for my brothers estate, selecting Alex Roy as realtor was the best choice I could have made. He knows the market, has the experience, and completed the sale with the best possible result leaving me thankful and impressed. Alex walked me through every step explaining the options, listening to my concerns, offering advice, and then let me weigh it out and make the decisions. The house needed updating before it went on the market and Alex secured bids, met each team at the house and oversaw all the work. He researched and presented options for every step right down to mirror and lighting choices. Alexs communication was great, he replied to texts immediately and with photos when that helped to clarify situations. There were challenges that came up after inspection that necessitated repairs and negotiating. Finalizing the sale was complicated, but he handled every situation wisely and professionally, with a smile, and left me feeling like he was just genuinely happy to help. Alex is positive, and presents himself with an energy that is always encouraging, I could not recommend him more highly.
