We didnt have a realtor at the time, and from that first conversation he stood out as incredibly personable, knowledgeable about the home, and transparent about the entire process. We were already pre-approved and through underwriting with another mortgage company, but Alex recommended that we also speak with a mortgage broker he works with regularly so we could compare our options. From there, he helped us navigate another showing, we fell in love with the house, and everything moved quickly. What impressed us most was how well Alex handled both sides of the transaction while still making sure our interests as the buyers were protected. He was always upfront about the sellers expectations and where they stood, but he also wasnt afraid to push back and negotiate hard on our behalf. The sellers were very reluctant to make concessions, and Alex was able to maneuver the deal to a price and structure where both sides could walk away feeling good about it. He even went above and beyond by contributing part of his own commission toward our closing costs when the sellers wouldnt budge further. That was something we never expected and showed how invested he was in getting the deal across the finish line in a way that worked for us. Alex was on top of everything from beginning to end. He helped coordinate and recommend inspectors, kept the transaction moving, and has continued to be a resource even after closing. Whether weve needed recommendations for contractors, remodeling, or other services around the house, his network in the area has been incredibly valuable. From day one, his communication was on another level ? he was responsive at all hours, whether it was a late-night text about a listing wed just stumbled across or a weekend question about contract details. We never once felt like we were waiting on him; if anything, he was usually a step ahead of us. He found us our dream home at a speed that genuinely surprised us. But Alex and Mya went above and beyond to get it done AND for an even better price than I was expecting. They got the place updated to look much more like a million dollar home and it got sold in such a short amount of time because of all that hard work. ZillowVERIFIED Words fall short on how much my wife and I can praise the work of Alex and Mya Plotkin. Friends often recommend realtors with the sentiment of "they're the best", but seldom back that up. A few highlights from our experience.. Communication: From the moment we started, Alex made himself available to us at any time of the day, specifically taking our calls as late as 10 PM at night and responsive to our texts within 20-30 minutes. All emails, whether it was to address questions, sign paperwork or facilitate other things, were always timely. He's extremely personable and at no time during the process did we feel like we were uninformed or bothering him. Knowledge: Alex and his team are professionals in the truest sense of the word. His comprehension of the real estate market was critical in crafting a strategy to meet our expectations. When it came to adjudicating issues that came up during the inspections, Alex had a rolodex of quality subcontractors just as knowledgeable and responsive as he was. The biggest asset to having Alex was made evident in the negotiation process, understanding where the seller's vulnerabilities were, and attacking from there. This isn't a second job or some side hustle, and having the ability to weaponize all aspects of the process is clearly why he's in the top 1% of realtors for this area. Many times, my wife and I personally thought we were being too aggressive on things that we thought could've jeopardized the sale, but ultimately said, "Alex is the professional, let's have him handle it". And he got it done, all of it. Follow Through: Alex met us the morning of closing to walk through the house and personally congratulate us with a personalized painting of our new home and a gift basket that was second to none. He reiterated that his service to us was not ending at closing, and would be available as a sounding board or if we needed services for our house in the future.
