As we worked with Alex, we discovered that he had extensive knowledge of real estate laws and practices, had well-honed and effective negotiation skills, had no problems whatsoever working with two older married gay men, had a high emotional IQ, and was a truly kind, caring and generous person. His knowledge came in handy the day a sellers agent told us we were not allowed to be on a property accompanied by a licensed home inspector unless Alex was with us the whole time. His negotiation skills helped one of our offers be the official second offer in case the first offer fell out of escrow, which it did. Thanks to Alex we were able to purchase the home that was our favorite choice and which we love. We had a short time window in which to work. Alex and his wonderful assistant, Jordan, reviewed the MLS listings assiduously to find homes that met our criteria. They were also willing to give us as much time as we needed to look at as many homes as we needed to. Alex took the time to get to know us and helped us refine our priorities. Alex repeatedly reminded us that he and his team worked for us. He said periodically, Youre the boss, whenever we were uncertain about a decision. Alex and his assistant, Jordan, were gladly willing to spend as much time with us as necessary to explain things. He was willing to come to our home and meet with us as often as needed to make sure we understood things and to answer our questions. Alex and Jordan both revealed that they have great senses of humor. We grew so fond of Alex and Jordan that we sincerely hope to remain friends with both. ZillowVERIFIEDIn the summer of 2020 the RE market in SD was sizzling so I decided to put my home on the market. I signed up with a firm I thought was reputable. To my dismay, they took horrible photos to place in my ad, listed it at an overinflated price, and did not inform me of feedback on house showings. As a result, I did not receive any offers, so I terminated my contract with them. While I was researching new realtors, I received a call from Alex Obeso, & I?m fortunate that I did. Since I was out of state at the time caring for family, I needed an agent who could take care of many issues in my absence. He assured me that he would be glad to assist me in any way, and he did. He met with inspectors, painters & roofers to make sure all repairs were done properly. He Made sure everything was to code. He drove out to the house several times to check on fire alarms, CO2 monitor, water filter, etc. I had one major issue I was concerned about & that was I still had a 30-year solar lease on the house. Alex made sure that was included in the purchase contract. He listed the home at a reasonable price & we received offers immediately. We chose several offers & made counteroffers & 3 came back all including assumption of the solar lease & offering to pay $20k more than the asking price!!! I was thrilled At how smoothly the transaction was progressing! Escrow closed much quicker than I expected it would! I only had to return to SD once to check on the condition of the house & to Sign the purchase contract. Everything else was done online. Alex was very diligent, working nights & weekends, until we found the perfect buyer. He contacted me daily as to the progress & always returned my calls promptly. The only difficult part was dealing with The solar company. They kept having delays to reinstall new roofing & charged me an exorbitant price to remove & replace the panels & put on a new roof. I was very concerned that the solar co. would not complete the job by close of escrow, but Alex told me not to worry, everything will work out, and it did. Because of his efforts, he saved me $30k on the solar lease & I made an extra $20k on the home sale!!! In essence, I came out $50k ahead!!! Alex Is a trustworthy agent & I rate him as a 10-star realtor. I highly recommend him to anyone to buy and sell their properties.

After talking to Alex on the phone I decided to set up an appointment with him to come out to the house to go over recent comps in the neighborhood. The day he came out he brought recent comps and went over everything I needed to know. After doing some improvements on the house that Alex suggested I went ahead and signed a listing agreement with him. I found him to be a man of his word and he had my back during the entire transaction. I had an offer within 6 to 7 days that I accepted. Escrow was opened and closed within 30/40 days.
