ZillowVERIFIED I highly recommend Alana if you are looking for a house in Port Washington (or anywhere). My wife and I looked at only two houses in Port the first with a different broker. After looking at the second, we were so happy we found Alana. She literally knows every street in Port and gives an incredible tour of every neighborhood. The first time I talked to her about the listing she hopped right in the car while we were on the phone and drove by the house. Alana is proactive and responsive. She got us into the house (a short sale) in a day and then organized another walk through with a contractor two days later. Throughout the winding road of a short sale I said so many times we were lucky we had Alana. She truly values relationships and still checks up on us to see how we are doing. She is also my go to for great for recommendations in the area.

Prior to even seeing any houses, Alana picked us up and drove us around to explain the different neighborhoods in Port Washington. Having grown up in Port Washington, Alana was so knowledgeable about the area; particularly as it relates to which neighborhoods would be a good fit for us (budget, convenience, kid-friendly, etc). Alana was always easy to get ahold of whether over the phone or to set up an appt to see a house...she even picked us up from the train station! Once we found our house, Alana made the step by step closing process very easy to follow. We are current Port Washington residents and still turn to Alana for neighborhood recommendations (everything from handymen to nail salons)! We highly recommend working with her.

First and foremost, she is extremely knowledgeable about Port Washington and the surrounding neighborhoods given that she both currently lives and grew up in Port. The first time we met her, she picked us up from the train station (which she did every single time by the way as we were living in the city and didnt have a car) and gave us a detailed two-hour tour of the neighborhood. During this tour, she showed us some of the important places within the town as well as the general types of homes that are in each of the Port Washington neighborhoods. We thought that this first interaction was extremely valuable as it not only helped us to determine which areas we would focus on during our search but it also gave us a sense of what it would be like to live in Port Washington. We really appreciated her taking this amount of time on a Sunday afternoon to help pass on some of her knowledge to her new clients who she never even met before. That first day was really a microcosm of the rest of our experience with Alana. She was always very responsive no matter what day of the week or what time in the day. Most importantly, we always found her to be quite personable and pleasant to work with. ZillowVERIFIED My wife and I were first time home buyers in the Port Washington area and Alana was recommended to us by a work colleague. Alana is clearly very knowledgeable of the Port Washington area (she grew up there) and was incredibly good at identifying homes that met our criteria. What was most impressive was how attentive she was to our questions and concerns. Because we had to travel from Manhattan to Port Washington on the weekends to look at homes, Alana physically visited potential homes in advance and would narrow the homes we were visit to accommodate our schedules. She was responsive at almost all hours of the day and night (including weekends) and we always received very detailed and thoughtful email responses or phone calls. What was also very important to us was that she was NOT pushy and did not make us feel compelled to purchase a home that we were not interested in (I imagine most agents just want you to buy pretty much anything so that they could collect the commission). Particularly as first time home buyers, we probably needed a lot more hand-holding and were a bit more difficult to manage than some other clients but she was very patient with us throughout the process. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone that is interested in buying or selling in the Port Washington area, particularly if you're a first time home buyer.
