ZillowVERIFIEDI have had a very disappointing experience with AJ Angajala, who operates BriqueCity Management and NextDoor Realty. Although my lease is with BriqueCity Management, it is operated by the same individual who runs NextDoor Realty, which is why I am leaving this review here, particularly in regards to his professional conduct. Throughout the pre-leasing process, he was professional and accommodating, but his demeanor changed significantly once the lease was signed. Since moving in, I have found the building conditions to be different from how they were represented. When I reached out to resolve maintenance issues, including broken deadbolts, lack of hot water, illegal dumping blocking parking spaces, and a door slamming during city-mandated quiet hours, the response was surprisingly hostile. During a phone call on Feb 16, Mr. Angajala informed me that he "did not want me in the building" and threatened me with a 30-day notice to vacate, stating that I 'complain too much' about these safety and habitability issues. As a tenant and a consumer, I believe professional standards should remain consistent. I hope prospective renters or real estate clients consider this pattern of communication before entering into a professional relationship with him.

ZillowVERIFIED We connected with AJ through Zillow when he showed us a condo we found there. Despite knowing other realtors we decided to work with him. He set up search parameters that emailed us several good prospects one of which we purchased. He suggested that we make an offer lower than we intended and it was accepted so he saved us some money. He also found us a painter/handyman who was able to start work on our new place immediately after closing. That is a rare find these days. We could not be more pleased with the scope and quality of the services he provided.

ZillowVERIFIED We are first time home buyers and had many 'must-have's' on our list in a home. AJ was patient and understanding with this and the fact that both of our families were heavily involved in the process. Even with all of this, AJ remained calm and professional. The most impressive thing about AJ is his response time; any time I would send him a house we would have a tour scheduled within the next 2 days. That being said, if you are highly uneducated on the real estate market or unwilling to put the search time in to find your perfect house (even through the subscribed emails), you will have to request a more 'hands-on' approach. AJ is a wealth of knowledge, but be sure to ask him many questions as he will not over-share info (most likely as to not be overwhelming). However, if this is your style, AJ is a wonderful realtor and will most likely become a friend too!

ZillowVERIFIED We met Crystal and AJ on our first home search, when they showd us first house, they asked me to sign a paper briefly saying that it's just details on how will be working with us, they did not even let us see the document saying I will be receiving a copy later, after two days they sent me a scan copy with all blanks filled saying I have to work with them exclusively and have to pay them 2.5% even if I find the house my self. Being a first time buyer expected that they would explain me all these terms. By then I was also working with another agent who didn't asked me to sign the contract like this, when they sent me the copy of the contract in the email they mentioned saying it's an exclusive contract. They should have mentioned that before signing, it shows that they intentionally tricked me. When I told them about another they told to ditch him the broker and work with them.

Jess was very patient as we looked at different properties to figure out what I liked and didn't like (and we looked at several over a short period of time). If I had questions about a property or wanted to schedule a viewing she always responded promptly, often within a few minutes. She confirmed appointments for me on short notice on many occasions and made the whole process much less intimidating. She also took the time to ask me questions about the properties we looked at: how I felt about the layout, size, features, etc. That was very helpful for deciding what type of home would work best for me, as I didn't have a good idea what I wanted/needed.
