One of the most important thing when choosing a real estate agent is to make sure they truly know the local market. Sometimes people hire an agent who isn’t familiar with the specific area, and that can impact pricing, negotiations, and understanding neighborhoods. Ask a few simple questions: How long have they been in real estate? How many homes did they sell last year? Do they work mostly with buyers or sellers? Can they explain the current market and their negotiation strategy? Can you explain the contracts to me and how they work? And always check their reviews. Most importantly, choose someone you trust and feel comfortable with, because you’ll be working closely together throughout the entire real estate process.
