Yes. It's called a bridge loan and it does exactly that, it leverages the equity of your current home to put toward the new one. What will NOT work is a home equity loan since most lenders will not approve a HELOC on a home that is listed for sale.

Hi Raul. Here in MA and NH, it's typically a wash. If you have extensive landscaping (hardscape, patio, etc.) those will definitely add value. Just a pool. Typically zero. A pool in poor condition will definitely decrease the value and make the home harder to sell. If you want a pool and plan to use an enjoy it for the 3 months a year we can, then do it. If you're planning on getting one because you want to increase your home value, I would advise against it.

Moni, What do you think is weird about it? If you're worried that you are somehow desecrating the church by living in it, you're not. Churches are deconsecrated before they are sold. It is now just a building. It is no longer a church. So if you like it, you're going to get to live in a really cool building with a story to tell.
