Hi Linda, It really depends on the community. In many South Carolina 55+ communities, the HOA fee is the primary monthly expense, but some neighborhoods do have additional fees. For example, there may be separate charges for golf memberships, certain amenities, or club facilities. As a South Carolina Realtor, I've found that the monthly costs can vary quite a bit from one community to another. Before buying, I always recommend reviewing the HOA documents and fee schedule so you know exactly what's included and whether there are any additional costs.
