No, the closing cost is not different for a townhouse vs. house. What determines the closing cost is the cost of the home and the governmental jurisdiction you are in. Each county, city and state can have its own rates for closing costs. So you would take the sales price of the house and run that amount through the rates determined by the city, state and county to get a dollar amount.
