I initially wasnt sure if I was looking for a primary residence or investment property or if I even wanted to purchase a property in the first place which made the search somewhat difficult. Caitlin was very patient with me throughout the process and did a good job of checking in with me when I would let purchasing fall to the back of my mind. Caitlin was also very attentive and responsive. Whenever I found a property I was interested in she was very quick to get more information and answer any questions that I had as well as setting up any showings. My partner and I both work in professional services: we know what good client service looks like, and Jerry is it. While Jerry supported us effectively throughout our buying process, Jerry stood out to us in two important respects. ZillowVERIFIED I couldn't think of a better pair of savvy locals to navigate the Santa Cruz market for me than Jenn and Andrew Oldham. I had come to them with a specific wish house, and they helped me through an offer cycle that didn't work out-- then immediately turned around and negotiated a perfect (and perfectly timed) deal on another house that did work out. I'm a first-time buyer, and very nervous, so the Oldhams' solid expertise and confidence were a big help to me. I had a million questions about the fine print as we went along, and they were always there to walk me through things step-by-step in a video call. I really appreciated their firm guidance when I felt unsure, felt secure in their knowledge of the details, and always felt that they were in my corner. They knew just when to act and how to proceed at every turn, and got me a fantastic deal. Buying a house during a pandemic turned out to be less painful than expected, too, as the Oldhams were prepared with all the latest Covid clauses and guidelines for visits. They were also a joy to talk to, warm and funny and supportive and full of great anecdotes and insights, able to put me right at ease. They found us an off market listing in our ideal area, and we saw it the moment it went on the market. It went into escrow just 24 hours later, though not with us (thats how competitive it was). We were lucky to be the backup offer on this house when it fell through and we could not have navigated this process, or purchased the only available house in such a competitive neighborhood without them. In this day and age, buyers have many tools at their fingertips. We can set up custom searches and see listings as soon as theyre on the market. A realtor has to be so much more than a listing machine, and thats Jenn, Andy and their team. They bring so much to the table, from escrow expertise, to off market homes, to a complete grasp of real estate markets around the Bay Area, and central coast.
