Paul is exactly what you hope for in a real estate agent. I first reached out to him via email because I saw a property that he was listing on Zillow and wanted to know information about it. I also had no knowledge whatsoever of the Big Bear housing market. In my very first email exchange with Paul, he got to the bottom of exactly what we wanted in a house and before the week was out he had arranged showings at 6 or 7 different houses that he thought we might like, all one after the other on a specific day because we were driving in from Los Angeles. Of these houses, I think only two were actually listed. Due to his extensive knowledge of the market and decades long relationships with residents of Big Bear, he was able to get us in to take a look at houses that were under construction/nearing completion, houses that were off market, and houses with owners who might consider selling. When we found a house we liked, Paul walked us through every step of the process, from predicting exactly the price at which we would reach an agreement, to getting in touch with the best contractors and designers in the area, and even telling us what bike store to go to. Buying a house is usually a stressful process, but with Paul it was incredibly easy. He was reachable all day every day, polite, respectful, and incredibly helpful. Without him, I wouldn't be sitting on the deck right now writing this review with a lake view. If you're looking for someone to sell your house, Paul's extensive knowledge of the market, attention to detail, and work ethic will make it easy for you. If you're looking to buy a house, his encyclopedic knowledge of price trends and every contractor in the area, great manner with people, and refusal to accept anything less than the best for his clients with make the process easy. Could not recommend Paul more highly. Side note: every step of our house purchase from looking at houses to moving in was done in the shadow of Covid; it did not even faze Paul. He dealt efficiently and admirably with the bank and Escrow company and let us be totally hands off as he worked around banking delays and seller move out times.
