To get straight to the point, the Thomas J McCarthy Agency is the very best around when it comes to buying a home out here on the end of Long Island. When my fiancee and I decided it was time to buy, we knew we wanted to put down roots out east (where I grew up). In the craziness brought on by covid-19 and the market the way it was/is, we worried if we'd be able to find and afford our ideal home. One day of showings with the agency's Donald Bracken Sr. changed all that. He showed us the homes we wished to see and then brought us to ones we thought were out of our range but upon finding the one we knew we wanted, Don went to work and within a week we were in contract on the home of our dreams at a price we never dreamed we'd get it for. Don being a veteran home builder and developer knew everything about each house. found & pointed out every issue, flaw and plus within seconds of arriving at each property. From the windows to the floor beams, Don was able to identify everything going for and against each property and be armed to negotiate on our behalf for each property we were interested in and ultimately direct us to THE ONE. From there Don worked tirelessly with Tom and the rest of the amazing staff at the TJM to negotiate and lock-in the home we never thought we'd get at a price we never thought would be accepted. Once in contract, Don was with us every step of the way right through and even after closing, making a very stressful time, an exciting one. My fiancee and I have nothing but the highest praise for Don, Tom and the rest of the team at TJM. They're local knowledge, honesty, and passion for their clients in incomparable and recommending them for those looking to buy or sell a home is a no brainer. Again, the very best!
