I have debated for a long time whether to write this review. My house was sold in the summer, It was completely remodeled with additional extra upgrades like recirculating hot water. I also did a lot of extra repairs, right before, such as fixing dry rot and trimming protected trees, at significant cost. After being told it would sell quickly, three months later it was not sold. Finally, I accepted a discounted offer that I was not happy with but wanted to move on. I had a dog so taking the dog out for showings and open houses was a pain. After I made the deal, Kelly told me the inspections came in an looked looked good and the comments on problems were minor and cosmetic. She neglected to tell me there was one inspection tht had not come in yet. With one day til contingencies were to be removed, she called and said that there was more dry rot, a bad pipe, and I would lose the sale if I didnt move fast and fix it and that these things would have to be fixed for any buyer. This is true. She also said, You dont want to go back to open houses. While all she said is true, it is also true that having given the buyer a break on the house ($15,000) I couldve insisted that the buyer pay the final repairs or at least split them. Kelly started the phone call t me by saying not to accuse of her working for the buyer when she told me I must fix these things. Again, it is true any buyer would need them fixed but it is NOT TRUE that I should have been pressured to pay them after all I did to sell that house in beautiful condition. She also added that i should be glad she was not asking for additional repairs mentioned in the previous inspection report,though the previous day she told me they were just cosmetic, she changed her tune from no big deal to be glad it is ok, these are things that are not of immediate concern, danger, or even need remedying until some future date. All houses have these. The necessary repairs were another 7500+ dollars and panicked by the pressure in the phone call, and the timing to remove contingencies, I agreed since we had only 24 hours from the notice. Later I told Kelly I was unhappy, and she did pay 1000 of the cost, and the buyer and buyers agent each paid 500 but I paid 5500+, w which I am still having to pay back having taken a year loan...Generally, I try to write great reviews unless I feel really that something egregious was done. I do want to stress that when I told Kelly how unhappy I was she did throw in 500 (she had thrown 500 in previously with buyer) but I still feel the way she approached me on the phone that day was high pressure and also based on her knowing what buttons to push. The others paid for a pipe I had been told, by another occupancy, was not in need of repair. I paid for additional dry rot. Bottom line, I dont think she really did protect my interests, I think she protected hers and, to some extent, the buyers. That was a big disappointment.

Our recent move from Elk Grove to Granite Bay was so much smoother, faster, and more streamlined than we could have ever imagined?despite being in the middle of a pandemic?thanks to our realtor Kelly McGhee. She always seemed to be one step ahead of us, anticipating what we may need and either offering up immediate solutions or telling us she had already done it. In this move, we thought we were asking a lot when we told her what we were looking for, especially since houses in our desired neighborhood don?t come up for sale that often and we had quite a few other tricky requirements. Then she literally went out and came back to us a few days later with our dream house in that very neighborhood that she found off market through her extensive contacts. This is the kind of person you want on your side. She facilitated both the purchase of the new home and the sale of our previous property. Her professionalism is impeccable, but she is also so genuinely friendly and approachable. She was always available and no task was ever too small. Kelly has without question earned a client for life in us. The only problem is that she found us such a perfect house, we are never going to move again!
