I've bought 2 homes now with Matt's help, the first being 10 years ago after a friend referred him to me, so when we started looking for a house upgrade this year Matt was our first call. There's a lot I really appreciate about Matt and his approach: - Matt is always clear and concise in explaining the myriad complexities of buying a home, and patient with all of our questions. It can be a daunting process but he's an excellent guide through the journey. - Matt doesn't rush you as you're are going through the searching process. He takes the time to learn the things you're looking for in a home, not just to calibrate the search to fit you, but he would often bring up things we hadn't really thought about based on his experience with houses. - Matt's very engaged and responsive, and would regularly reach out with houses he'd seen come up that he thought we might be interested in. Once we were in escrow he was very thorough with deadlines, task lists, and helping us stay on top of the priorities of the day - Matt really understands the San Diego home market, not just in regards to different areas and communities to help look at, but the speed at which it can move and types of things that can help you stand out. - Matt clearly loves his work and has a great sense of humor, and that really helps take some of the stress out of the journey.

Matt OBrien is the best! He has helped us with three homes, both selling and buying, and is an extraordinary real estate broker. He saved us money on our purchased home and negotiated good increases on both our sells. Matt knows excellent, realistically priced workers, to perform all required repairs and enhancements that sped the sale of two of our houses. Matt is the kind of agent everyone hopes for! We cannot say enough wonderful things about Matt OBrien. He truly is the best real estate agent we could have asked for. What truly sets Matt apart is his integrity. He never pushed us. In fact, he sometimes advised us against homes that did not fully make sense for us. That honesty is rare. Even after the sale, he continues to offer help and is always available for questions. Matt is simply a wonderful person. He is kind, easygoing, and has a great sense of humor.
