I made a long distance purchase. So far, the things that I explicitly mentioned I wanted fixed are not. I contacted James and he said I just have to do it myself now. DO NOT TRUST HIS WORD. DO NOT BUY FROM HIM UNLESS YOUVE SEEN THE HOUSE BEFORE CLOSING!!!!! He went as far as to send me videos of ?ALL? the ceilings to show me they look great. All except for the one UNDER THE LEAK THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED!!!!! Why did I order a $500 inspection, then an extra $250 on infrared if you weren?t going to fix the findings!!!!!!! HUGE leak stains all over the ceiling downstairs in a main room!!!!!!! He said it was all set!!!!! Then when I had to cut my ceiling to let out gallons of water, he blocked me from contacting him. We also had multiple conversations about the bathroom upstairs needing to work. Nope!!!!!! We have to go downstairs in the middle of the night now. I can?t believe he lied about the water getting hot. We have to shower in cold water. I told James the garage is VERY important to us as we will in there all day. NOBODY mentioned the SEVERE FIRE DAMAGE!!!!!!!!! He did not tell me the ceiling, support studs and the perimeter was burnt to a char and the perimeter support headers are charred to a crisp without any added support. These beams are burnt through. When we started discussing negotiations I said the house needs to be live in ready. Turn key. As if I were renting an air bnb. I feel like I?m staying in an abandoned home. This is not even rentable. I paid $25,000 more than similar homes in this area to make sure I would not have to do any repairs. Tell that to the waterfall in my master bedroom. I don?t even know how to get hot water at this point but I?m sure I?ll figure it out quickly since I?m not fond of cold showers at 5AM in MARCH!!!! About ready to go to a hotel. Considering this is the ONLY home he had to look at for me he could have at least been honest and do what he said he would. There are a lot of things he did not tell me about the house to make this sale. He was my eyes from California and if he didn?t want to be he could have told me to send out my dad which I mentioned I was more than happy to do. He should at the very least pay for the full last inspection since he didn?t make sure the findings were repaired!!!!!!!! I?m seriously now just so scared about what else he lied about. Horrible feeling AFTER you already bought the home. Then when I tried to contact the seller, there is not contact phone listed anywhere including on the internet. I now have to get an attorney and start repairing my money pit. This is a living nightmare.
