I got lectured by this guy for the 5 small minutes I talked to him and got scolded for wasting his $200 because apparently thats what his phone call to me cost. Not sure why hes working on Zillow and using that function to call people. Seems pretty backwards to me. Anyways, I'm glad it costed him money for how rude he was to meaEUR|

ZillowVERIFIED Making a cross-country move, my time in the Conroe area was finite. I had connected briefly with a couple of other agents, but neither one really seemed to value the fact that I had a ticking clock over my head. Not so with James. He went to work immediately after our first phone conversation, and he continued that approach throughout. He was very helpful when it came time to make an offer, and always had something of value to add to each showing, pointing out something here or there, sharing info about the area, property taxes, etc etc. And hes a good guy to boot. Lastly, I appreciated that we shared the same character trait on promptness: aEURoeAlways better to be five minutes early, than ten seconds late.aEUR? On task and on target. I had asked about a certain property and her husband James had just gone to see it so they told me all the things wrong with it. We then found a different property that was pretty much perfect so we contacted Lisa again. She looked at the comps and said we could get it for $5000 less than listed. We decided on that one and started the buying process. Lisa kept us up to date on everything. Walked us through the process of buying the house for cash. We bought our house online sight unseen. ZillowVERIFIED As a first time buyer, not really even knowing what questions to ask he was informative and honest when showing us homes, he wasnt pushy but would look for different specifications needed for our type of loan, and when we found something spur of the moment he was available to show us surprisingly fast. And during the buying process had great communication with both us and our lender and even negotiated with the seller to help with our closing cost. ZillowVERIFIED I made a long distance purchase. So far, the things that I explicitly mentioned I wanted fixed are not. I contacted James and he said I just have to do it myself now. DO NOT TRUST HIS WORD. DO NOT BUY FROM HIM UNLESS YOUVE SEEN THE HOUSE BEFORE CLOSING!!!!! He went as far as to send me videos of ?ALL? the ceilings to show me they look great. All except for the one UNDER THE LEAK THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED!!!!! Why did I order a $500 inspection, then an extra $250 on infrared if you weren?t going to fix the findings!!!!!!! HUGE leak stains all over the ceiling downstairs in a main room!!!!!!! He said it was all set!!!!! Then when I had to cut my ceiling to let out gallons of water, he blocked me from contacting him. We also had multiple conversations about the bathroom upstairs needing to work. Nope!!!!!! We have to go downstairs in the middle of the night now. I can?t believe he lied about the water getting hot. We have to shower in cold water. I told James the garage is VERY important to us as we will in there all day. NOBODY mentioned the SEVERE FIRE DAMAGE!!!!!!!!! He did not tell me the ceiling, support studs and the perimeter was burnt to a char and the perimeter support headers are charred to a crisp without any added support. These beams are burnt through. When we started discussing negotiations I said the house needs to be live in ready. Turn key. As if I were renting an air bnb. I feel like I?m staying in an abandoned home. This is not even rentable. I paid $25,000 more than similar homes in this area to make sure I would not have to do any repairs. Tell that to the waterfall in my master bedroom. I don?t even know how to get hot water at this point but I?m sure I?ll figure it out quickly since I?m not fond of cold showers at 5AM in MARCH!!!! About ready to go to a hotel. Considering this is the ONLY home he had to look at for me he could have at least been honest and do what he said he would. There are a lot of things he did not tell me about the house to make this sale. He was my eyes from California and if he didn?t want to be he could have told me to send out my dad which I mentioned I was more than happy to do. He should at the very least pay for the full last inspection since he didn?t make sure the findings were repaired!!!!!!!! I?m seriously now just so scared about what else he lied about. Horrible feeling AFTER you already bought the home. Then when I tried to contact the seller, there is not contact phone listed anywhere including on the internet. I now have to get an attorney and start repairing my money pit. This is a living nightmare.
