We chose Raymond Megie as our listing agent to sell the home we had lived in for 25 years, raised our family in and had very mixed feelings about selling... my husband was especially struggling with the thought of moving. Our home was in the country and had a lot of unusual features, like being built on a hill with the garage being under the house, electric baseboard heat with a propane heater in the living room, etc. He advertised the home in a way that brought many potential buyers, advised us well regarding a listing price and sold our home, which enabled us to find a home close to our children and grandchildren. He handled my husband with kindness and respect, realizing the very difficult emotional side of this sale for us. He was also very knowledgeable about all aspects of closing and was readily available for every question or concern that came up. My husband and I would highly recommend Ray..... Before you decided on an agent, do your homework and interview several in the area you are shopping or selling. Don't be afraid to ask for references, experience, awards won (by peers are most important), and finally ask about the agents thought process and approach to selling. In speaking with George, he answered all of my questions honestly, provided me with several references (which I did call), and most importantly was very prompt in responding to my texts and messages. He has a very professional appearance and demeanor and is the farthest thing from a 'slickster' just trying to make a sale. Prior to putting the house on the market, he walked the home and offered suggestions based on what clients were looking for. When we did place it on-line, we had a viable offer within 12 hours. Given that buying and selling a home can be a very difficult process, I found comfort in knowing that I had an ally at the table in George. I have, and will continue to recommend George Brennan to friends, family and colleagues to complete fulfill their real estate needs.
