We had a long, complicated buying/selling journey when we moved to Maine, which included buying a house we didn't plan to stay in. Our stay there ended up shorter than we anticipated, so we tried to avoid an agent in order to minimize the loss. A few months in, Andy approached us with a no pressure, straight-forward, relaxed attitude that convinced us it was time to sign him up. He guided us through which updates made the most sense and how to make it more appealing. And he helped us price the house right where it belonged. Despite being a higher asking price than we paid, we had a full price offer the first weekend. When issues came up (that were missed when we bought the house), he was on top of it all and took care of everything - even finding and scheduling a contractor. I had had agents in the past that I enjoyed working with, but Andy made me realize how much easier the process can be when your agent is willing to take on the whole project. He was very proactive and never seemed to mind dealing with the little annoying details. He has also shown us a few properties for my mother-in-law, who will likely work with him when the time comes.

After getting married, buying a single-family home in the suburbs, and expecting our first baby, it was time to try to sell our aEURoeunsellableaEUR? in-town condo (deemed as such as had tried to sell through another broker a few years previously and got no offers and very little interest). Andy had extensive knowledge of the area condo market and was quick to provide a customized plan!! We found him to be very professional and often marveled at his enthusiasm and tact. He made suggestions as to aEURoeprojectsaEUR? that could be done inside the unit to enhance the resale value, and when we didnt have time/interest in DIY (sanding and finishing hardwood floors, anyone?) he referred us to local contractors to complete the work. He was excellent at providing feedback from showings, and once we started to receive offers, at counter-offers when necessary. With a baby on the way and a need to stop making an extra mortgage payment each month, Andy kept our best interests at heart, and had the experience to make sage recommendations on our behalf. The result? After three months, unsellable condo = SOLD!! Thanks Andy!!
