Pace enterprise just took over management of Cedar Ridge apartment complex and has sent out a notice to all tenants that they are required to sign a new lease and that they are changing the lease by allocating utilities to the tenants. Requiring a tenant to sign a new lease before their initial lease term is up goes against tenant rights in Texas and they can not change the terms of the lease mid lease either. When I brought this up to the leasing manager and owner they refused to change the letter for more clarity and the manager has misinformed several residents telling them that signing a new lease is mandatory and knowingly infringing upon their rights. I would not lease here while this management company is still in charge. I have already turned them in to several agencies. Also they have initiated a name change from Cedar Ridge to Veranda Gardens.
