It was a full circle moment to work with Sammy! He was my teacher/mentor during high school when he was in academia, before real estate. When I was ready to start my home buying journey, I called Sammy right away because I trusted his guidance. Working with Sammy Lyons has been a life-saving experience. Sammy is so genuinely authentic, professional, patient, experienced, and personable. I actually met him through a mutual friend years ago, and we kept in touch through the community events he has for clients. I hadn't even worked with him but I would attend the events. This year I needed to sell my house and our agent-client relationship actually began. First thing Sammy asked me was, "What do YOU want to do?" He gave me all my options and his advice. When I was sure I wanted to sell, Sammy jumped into gear with pictures, listings, potential buyers, and appointments for viewings. What I appreciate most is how Sammy always heard me, fought for me, was honest with me, kept me focused, and guided me through the process because as a first time homebuyer and seller--there were so many things I didn't know. Sammy truly CARED for ME--the buyer. There's so many real estate agents who just want to make a deal in their best interest with no care or concern for what happens to the buyer after. They get their cut either way. Sammy focuses on his client. For women, first time homebuyers, or anyone who doesn't fully know the ins and outs of buying or selling--you're going to need someone on your side. You're going to need someone who makes the best deal for YOU. You're going to need someone with the patience to explain what you don't understand, and the professional expertise and network to get the best deal made on your behalf. There's so many details, papers to sign, and ways for a client to get lost or less than they deserve that a real estate agent with a good heart and good business mind is essential to the process! I sincerely recommend Sammy for anyone looking for a great agent. When I buy again, it will ABSOLUTELY be with Sammy. First-time home buyer who was able to successfully close in a competitive market under Sammy's expertise, guidance, and negotiation skills. Highly recommend! I was a first-time home buyer and reached out to Sammy in December 2025. Sammy's expertise was essential throughout the home-buying process: Identifying Lender - While we had some potential lenders in mind, Sammy informed us about different programs other lenders offered that we had no idea about and also educated us on key criteria (that we also hadn't considered before) when determining our lender. We ultimately connected with a lender who effectively collaborated with Sammy's team and helped us successfully close! Home Viewing & Tempering Expectations - Sammy's partner Marissa was extremely responsive with arranging home viewing appointments/open houses for homes in a time-sensitive manner. She represented our best interests when engaging with listing/showing agents. Marissa held space for us as we reflected on what we learned from each viewing, supported us with tempering expectations as first-time home buyers, was flexible as we began to have more clarity on the type of home and neighborhood we wanted to be in, and was critical to communicating with listing/showing agents to help us begin the process of putting an offer down. Putting down an offer, counter-offer, contingencies, and overall strategy to close - Sammy was extremely respectful of our process and we never felt pressured to make any particular decision throughout. Sammy clearly explained every aspect of the process and the pros/cons as we navigated each. When I would share some "advice" I'd heard from social media or some concerns/apprehensions I would have throughout the process, Sammy would validate my feelings but would also ultimately give us the most pragmatic consideration. Throughout each part of the home-buying process, Sammy respected our decisions and was also critical to communicating with listing/showing agents, which ultimately led to us successfully closing on our home. Inspections Contingency - Sammy helped us connect with incredible inspectors and specialists who were very responsive to the time-sensitive nature of the home inspections process. Marissa was present during the inspection and helped guide and advocate for us. I really felt like the team had our best interests at heart, which was so important during such a nerve-wracking time. Up to Close and Beyond - Sammy's entire team was so critical to the process of staying in communication with the seller, lender, escrow, and insurance. They helped ensure we had access to all critical documents and that we were completing key action items/documents. Sammy also guided us on how to communicate with our landlord, who ended up being very amenable to us breaking our lease early! We had a very smooth closing--we closed within a month from viewing the property! Even after we have closed, Sammy continues to stay in touch with us and continues to support as we navigate being new home owners in our dream neighborhood. The home-buying process was an emotional rollercoaster but Sammy and team graciously supported us through it all. Sammy's expertise and negotiation skills were so essential to our success.
