When my wife and I identified a property that we were interested in purchasing, we wanted an experienced realtor we could trust who understands local markets, could guide us through the idiosyncrasies of Californian property transactions and who we felt good about working with and supporting as a business partner. I had previously met Jacob via his wife, an emergency room nurse I work with, and had an intuition that he would be that kind of realtor. I am very happy to report that I was correct in that judgment. Jacob helped us structure a fair offer that was accepted on the first try. He then spent many hours combing through inspections, records, maps and even folders of receipts documenting work that had been done on this property. He physically went to the county permitting office when they opened to look into a permitting issue that came up. He had a panel of experts available to consult when questions came up regarding findings on inspections. His previous military experience was evident in how he approaches his work and life. He is a very conscientious and generally smart human being, which is what you should want in anyone helping you with something like buying an expensive piece of property here in coastal California. There's a lot of paperwork involved (or Docusigns, as it were) and it isn't for the weak of heart. He also has a lot of real life experience with owning and managing rural homes and land as well, which is helpful when it came to navigating permitting issues and off-the-grid idiosyncrasies such as wells and propane in our particular case. Jacob was responsive, professional and clear in his communication and just generally went above and beyond in helping us buy a home here on the central coast. 5/5, A+. Hopefully wont ever have to buy another home for the rest of my life, but if I do, Ill call Jacob.
