Alaska is an amazing State. I first came to Alaska in 1970 on a 12 mo/8 hr/day Counselor's contract for 7800/year. All of our children were born and raised in Alaska. We have outgrown a half dozen houses over the past four decades. Chris Walden, like my children, is a home grown "down to earth" Alaskan raised by professional parents. He has also spent a lot of time traveling the country. He is very smart, but also possesses strategic insights into our Alaskan housing market that only the many decades of his family's business could have given him. He executed "earnest money" agreements for us that ensured that we would not exceed our limit, but would also get the best price. He responded to my emails and texts immediately and through his speedy responses was able to get my wife and I a most beautiful house at $30K LESS than the final appraisal. We closed on this house in April. Which was a very competitive buyers market (relatively few houses in our market range, but lots of buyers, and in time of rising interest rates). Chris and his team were very generous with their time and really got to know us and our needs. He and his team got us the absolute best house we could have ever imagined.
