Today marks one month since my wife Shelby and I moved into our new home, and it still feels surreal. Our homebuying journey started the end of this past March with a lovely dinner conversation with Shelbys Aunt and Uncle where, in dialoguing about looking into renting a house instead of an apartment, they posited the question if we ever thought of buying a house. That spurred us to meeting with Jeny at the beginning of April so she could educate us on the homebuying process and if it was even a possibility for me and Shelby. All of this happened within a 30-day escrow period, which included an extended family trip for Jeny across the world and negotiations with the sellers on inspections and appraisal contingencies. Even on the other side of the world, Jeny ensured that she remained engaged throughout this process and that we met our deadlines for the accepted offer contingencies. Before we knew it, Jeny was handing us the keys to our new home and setting us up for the next chapter of our life.
