My grandmother passed away in May of 2016, and I became the Personal Representative of her estate. Being the Personal Representative of my grandmothers estate came with a lot of work and a lot of responsibilities. One being that I needed to sell my grandmothers home in Portland, Oregon. Not only did that present as a logistical issue for me, as I live in Washington, it was also a very difficult and emotional task. That was the home that I essentially grew up in, and the home that I brought my kids to when they wanted to see our dear GamGam. Alex reached out to me around September of 2016, and provided me with all the information I needed to get started with this task. We spoke several times on the phone, and eventually were able to meet at a relatives home near Portland in November of 2016. Alex agreed to meet with me, my wife and 2 of our adult children to discuss if we wanted to have him help us sell our grandmothers home, what to expect if we chose him and answered any questions we had. Alex had researched the neighborhood, analyzed the market, reviewed comparable sales in the area, and presented all this information in an organized, easy to understand portfolio. After meeting with Alex we knew that he was the person we needed to help us with our grandmothers home. We quickly asked him to help us sell our very special home.From that moment forward, Alex worked closely with my family getting our grandmothers home ready to sell. He handled so many things for us due to the fact that we were so far away, and, frankly, some things were just too hard for us to handle as there was so many emotions, and memories, tied up in that home. We quickly learned that Alex was somebody that we could trust with this home. He was somebody that recognized, and appreciated, the emotions involved in a situation like ours. He was responsive to all of our individual needs, and did an excellent job of keeping us informed every step of the way. Alexs skills at putting us at ease through the sale process were such that our conversations were more warm and friendly than prior experience in business dealings. It worked for us because it was an emotional time.The home has recently sold, we got the price we were hoping for. We all believe that was a result of Alexs hard work.
