My experience with Ken and his 'team' is not as positive as the rest of his reviews. First of all I believe Ken truly thinks he found the buyer of our home, he did not, buyer was found from a listing I posted on Zillow prior to signing up with Ken. Ken or a member of his team, was a no show no call for a appointment to take photos of my home for the MLS listing. Left me hanging around waiting until I called him, then rescheduled for another day. Buyer repeatable called me personally to say that Ken was non responsive to requests from buyers agent. Have no proof this actually happened, just reporting what I experienced. Never had the 'SOLD' sign hung on our John L. Scott for sale sign, even though our closing took 4 months, per our request. One positive note was that Ken listed the home at $30k more than I had it listed for on Zillow, I changed my price on Zillow after Ken suggested it, and we received that price. So I suppose that in itself offset the 6% fee. If you enjoy listening to people tell you how great they and the people that work for them are, then Ken is your guy. Personally he gives me the feeling of working with a used car salesman. Very talkative, in a way that takes your focus off the subject at hand, selling my house. I had no problems with any of the members of his 'team', they were very helpful and responsive to any of my requests.

Terrible experience. Ken was amazing at the pitch to get he house listed. I chose him from about 40 brokers that called about wanting the listing. Really good pitch about strategic marketing, about how the previous broker didn't know how to sell the house, etc, etc. Listed for 6 months. I think I talked to Ken on the phone maybe TWO times after the getting the listing. Very few open houses and I had to always ask about getting them scheduled. 3 price reductions and no real consultation about anything. Outside flyers always ran out and I had to ask to get them restocked. After I found out a broker came to show the house, I had to go and open blinds and wipe the floors and get the house "in-shape" after a broker complained about how dark the house was - the blinds were all closed! Also, he was originally affiliated with John L Scott when he sold me on his services and thought that network would be great. A few weeks later he went out on his own and had me convert - he never warned me that would be happening when it was obviously in progress. That's highly deceptive and quite unprofessional. Look, I know selling houses is hard and I don't blame Ken for not selling my house, but I don't think the sales pitch that was made to me was what was delivered. Very little effort to to sell my house was made compared to what he told me in our first meeting. Also, I always felt like I had to poke them to get updates, nothing was proactive, always reactive. Not a quality you want in a realtor. Oh well, lesson learned.
