I met with five agents before deciding to list with John. All of the agents had similar ideas in terms of a listing price. All were familiar with the area. All were experienced. I decided to list with John because of his apparent preparation before we met. Not only did he come with an idea of listing price, but he came with a plan. He came with samples of printed materials and a plan for listing and promoting the property. This isnt to say that the others didnt have this, but his readiness to articulate this and to show examples led me to believe that he was eager and ready to take the listing. And I'm glad I did. The assets that were created (photos, printed materials, etc.) were very nice. His level of communication and responsiveness, though, is what I quickly came to appreciate. His knowledge, not just of the sales process, but with all of the aEURoelittle thingsaEUR? that came about AND his willingness to assist with them all is what I most appreciated throughout this process. As but one example, when it was discovered that the home needed some septic work, he not only knew who to contact, but was available to meet with them when I was unavailable (I lived out of the area). During final negotiations, he provided good and useful feedback. When I had questions (and I had a lot of questions) he was always quick to respond. When a few unforeseen things happened, he was quick to reach out and had a plan in mind for how to proceed. Selling a home is not a simple process, not logistically and not emotionally. But, there was not a time throughout the process that I felt left out or overlooked. And there was not a time throughout the process where I second guessed my decision to list with John.
