My wife and I were not looking to buy anything as we were browsing Zillow open houses as sort of fun things to do while in the neighborhood. We happened to be in Merrick that day and had a couple of hours to kill. We ended up in one of the open houses on Arthur street in Merrick. After seeing the place, I had to convince my wife that we were not ready to buy, that the timing wasnt right but wow did the house feel like the right fit. It was a beautiful newly renovated house and everything seemed just right. Just the way we imagined our new home to be. To top things off, Ellen and Cathy werent helping. Their warmth and welcoming made the place feel more of a home rather than a house. They took their time and showed and explained everything and were very professional through out. We didnt feel pressured or rushed to make any quick decisions and we walked out pleasantly surprised with both, the house and Ellen and Cathy. Couple of days later I received a phone call from Cathy thanking us for visiting their open house and again, absolutely no pressure, uncomfortable questions or various real estate tactics of pursuing an offer. By then, my wife and I have decided that this was going to be our new home and I presented an offer. Cathy didnt seem anxious or over excited, she assured me that she and Ellen will represent our best interest throughout the process. Both, Cathy and Ellen were there for us every step of the way and handled the whole process with utmost professionalism. They represented our interests, not their own, like many agents do and at no point did we feel pressured to do anything we werent comfortable doing. I am happy to say that we bought our first home and Cathy and Ellen were a big reason it actually happened. Ladies, if you read this, Daniela and I want to thank you for making it happen for us. Repeat business is guaranteed!!
