She single-handedly architected a complex real estate transaction that enabled my wife and me to sell our home for a record amount in our community and, at the same time, purchase a home at great value in the same community. She has deep knowledge of the local area and alerted us of this potential opportunity aEUR" at the time, we were lukewarm on the prospect of moving, but Holly had a compelling idea and encouraged us to investigate further. Were glad we did. Throughout the process Holly was exceptionally communicative and typically replied instantaneously to our questions. Holly in a nutshell is just simply amazing! She helped us find the perfect home with the specific design & layout, location, and budget that we had in mind over a course of 1.5 years. She may have started as our real estate agent but really ended up as a friend owing to her amiable nature and warm personality. She was very diligent, patient, and methodical in her approach trying to get us the ideal home, while being very judicious with our time showing us only listings that were close enough fit to our criteria. She also gave suggestions & ideas and really went to bat for us. More importantly, she stayed on for support even after the closing, whether suggesting resources for renovation or just going above and beyond for anything we needed when settling in to our new home. Holly represented us as sellers in South Bay, an area where she already had sold many units and regularly has listings and sales. So her credentials and reputation are solid.My experience with most realtors so far has been less than great, in that I often find them on the lazy or incompetent side, sometimes both. Often, they rely on sheer dumb luck to eke out a basic living, and have entered this business thinking there is easy money to be made. Sometimes there is, but to rise above this level requires a different mindset...Holly embodies that mindset; she brought a level of professionalism that I have not heretofore been exposed to in this industry. She helped us sell our home in less than 6 weeks (list date to close date). We had moved to another city and there were some stresses (I expect there will always be) along the way, but none caused by her.Throughout this process Holly demonstrated the following qualities:-Calm and thoughtful. Never jumping to conclusions, she never got excited (I mean that in a good way - no Drama Queen here). No raised voice, no hasty judgments. She has intelligence and isn't afraid to use it.:-)- Knowledgeable and resourceful. She has quality contacts in just about every area you care to name, and is ready and able to draw upon them to benefit her clients. - Responsive and communicative. Pretty self-explanatory, but it's important to note that, due to her reputation, she usually has several clients at the same time. But she never made us feel like we took a back seat to any of her other deals, in fact I don't recall her ever implying, unless asked, that she even had other clients. But look at her listings and you will know she does. Of course, there will be times she is busy with others, but she always calls back and communicates. - An appropriate insulator. By which I mean, if there was something that she could handle without troubling us, she did exactly that, avoiding burdening us with unnecessary details or worry. See below. -Present and active. She was physically present for nearly all showings, and for all the other buyer events such as inspections, appraisal and walkthroughs, bringing her experience and expertise to bear when needed. Example: a repair item arose that could have been expensive and troublesome for us. She was already aware that the builder covered such things under a special agreement with the community (I had no idea even though I lived there) and she wasted no time bringing them in to resolve it.- Never complained about anything, even when presented with some out-of-the-ordinary requests.-Ethical and fair-minded. She never suggested anything that seemed even remotely questionable.- Works hard as well as smart. Self-explanatory, but not too many people can do both.- Values her own reputation highly. The result of this cannot be underestimated; she plays the long game and this benefits everyone she deals with.Understatement ahead: I am not an easy customer to please. I hold myself - and therefore others - to a high standard, and am pleased to say that HD is one of the few people I have encountered in my 60 years on this planet who meet these standards. Real estate people get paid quite well in this area of higher priced homes, but my experience with some others leads me to believe they may not deserve it. Holly does, every penny.
