We worked with Ryan to purchase our first home. While Ryan has a pleasant personality and is very responsive, he did not demonstrate experience nor negotiating skills. It was a very stressful experience for us. It felt like, that once we were in escrow, he was rushing things to close, rather than explaining each step along the way. I was lost during most of the process, and felt like I had to drag out the information from him. The initial lender he recommended was terrible, who asked me to sign locking down rates with them without even quoting me or explaining to me. The next lender that Ryan referred was good and explained to us our options and helped us in decision making. The sellers left the place VERY dirty and requires several things fixed which were neither pointed out by Ryan nor the inspector that he recommended. We are getting all of these things fixed now after moving in, which is a major inconvenience. I think Ryan needs time to update his knowledge and experience (most of his initial responses to my questions were, either, I dont know but let me find out, or gave me incorrect info). May be by the time we are ready for our next house transaction, Ryan would have the experience that he needs, so we can work with him :), but for now I would not recommend him specially for 1st Time home buyers.

After going back and forth for months about whether we could afford to sell our condo and upgrade to a single-family home after expanding our family, my wife and I were recommended to Ryan Mcmillian by a friend of mine who was very satisfied with a home he recently purchased with Ryan's help. Let me preface the rest of this with this disclaimer - I am not a fan of the whole real estate jargon and often overly-confusing string of hoops that one must jump through to make things happen, so my stance prior to meeting with Ryan was not the most positive about the whole concept. Rarely do I have a 180-degree change of mindset on anything, let alone large financial decisions, but to my surprise I found that this team of individuals was able to de-mystify and simplify the whole process from the very first meeting onward. I was shocked to find that these guys speak in plain English, and are more than willing to take the time to break down the complex elements of the home sale and purchase process in to bite-size pieces that both my wife and I could easily understand, and in a no-pressure environment nonetheless. Within an hour of meeting them, I found myself engaged and willing to trust them with the sale of our home and the search for a larger home for our family. To add complication to things, we have a special needs child that make certain factors in a home a must-have. Both Ryan and Robert were more than understanding of our family's needs, and to my surprise they were able to find a wide range of options that not only met our specific non-negotiable needs, but met our budgetary needs as well. Ryan's patience was incredible as we searched and searched through several options until we found something that met our complex list of needs. His attention to detail and willingness to work with our complicated situation was not something we were expecting, and I found that it built a level of trust that made it much easier to focus on my family while Ryand and Robert's team worked to find us a solution behind the scenes. They developed a relationship with us that allowed us to let them align the pieces of the puzzle in the right timing, and make the moves we needed to in the time we needed to make them. We went from thinking that this would be an impossible task, to owning the home that we will likely retire in. I simply cannot recommend these guys highly enough!
