We recently bought a condo in Watertown with Ruths guidance. This turned out to be a particularly difficult transaction, which led to a large gap between signing the P&S and closing. At multiple stages, the deal could have easily fallen through. Despite these difficulties, Ruth was able to shepherd us through the process with ease. She was never more than a phone-call away, and was great at negotiating with the multiple parties involved. She also has a considerable network of resources from which she can draw upon when needed. For example, she referred us to our house inspector, mason, and real-estate attorney, all of whom turned out to be critical elements of this deal. It was really nice to work with people that Ruth has personally vetted, so that we did not have to worry if we were getting the best possible service or advice. In hindsight, the closing seems like the most prominent event in our minds simply because it was last in the long series of steps. However, Ruths involvement started far before that, in the early stage of online house-hunting and attending open-houses. The market this past summer was intense, with many offers on any unit, and the unit most-often going for far above asking. We had not purchased real-estate in several years and found ourselves shell-shocked initially. Ruth was particularly helpful in this phase because she really has her finger on the pulse of the market. She knew immediately if something was priced incorrectly, and was very direct when she felt we should be cautious about overpaying for a deal. This advice was invaluable, since we didnt have a clue what a winning bid would be in this market. We highly recommend Ruth to assist others in real-estate purchases, and look forward to working with her again.
