My wife and I were looking at new construction homes in North Raleigh and Helen was referred to us by a family member to be our buyer's agent. Helen was AMAZING! She was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and responsive.If you're wondering whether or not you need a buyer's agent on a new construction home, you ABSOLUTELY do. Helen was amazing throughout the entire process and was with us every step of the way. She helped us pick the best lot for our home, she thoroughly read all of the builder documents/contracts (pointing out several errors that could have been devastating had we found out later), she negotiated the contract on our behalf, and she communicated with the builder on construction issues. Believe me, there WILL be issues with new construction homes where you'll need to have difficult discussions with the builder. It's just the nature of the process and hopefully they can all be remediated. We're glad we had Helen on our side. For example, our floor plan showed a closet that was not actually in the work plans. Helen talked to the builder and got the builder to add in the closet for free. She even watched our 1 year old daughter during one of our walkthrough meetings because we didn't have a sitter (although I'm sure she doesn't want me advertising her as a babysitter). All in all, Helen was AMAZING and we are SOOOO glad she represented us.
