Scott and Mark are the perfect real estate agents! If you are reading this review on Zillow looking for a buyers or sellers agent, look no further! Scott and Mark are incredibly knowledgeable, hardworking, kind and truly have your best interests at heart. I was in your position only two months ago, somewhat frustrated with the lack of homes available in the North Georgia mountains and desperate for help. I took a chance and gave Scott and Mark a call. They responded quickly and we began our search. A few days later, Scott sent my partner and I the PERFECT mountain home that wasn't even listed on the MLS yet. We were out to view the home the next day and made an offer which was accepted. Now, I write this review as the owner of that same mountain home in Blairsville, GA, sitting on the beautiful deck enjoying a stunning mountain view. Best of the best! After several visits to the Ellijay/Blue Ridge area over the last year, my wife and I decided to explore the possibility of buying a cabin in the mountains as a second home. We found Scot & Mark through two previous clients who had worked them. Scott & Mark graciously offered to meet for lunch to help us "get the lay of the land" up there. Since they've been in that area for 15 years, they had expansive insights and knowledge of: locations, types of homes, things to look out for and things to look for. They referred us to a fantastic local lender so we could determine what our price range could be. After that, we started exploring areas that we wanted to be in (Blue Ridge & Ellijay). Scott said to drive to the properties we were interested in and make sure we were comfortable with the distance from town, hiking trails, lakes, rivers, and, most importantly, the ease of getting to the property. The last part was an extremely helpful suggestion as we knew we wanted to be at elevation with mountain views. However, we did not want to be too far from town or have to drive too far up the mountain with difficult driving surfaces. We found a property in Ellijay that "checked all the boxes" (close to downtown Ellijay and Blue ridge, mountain views and easy driving access. We viewed the property in-person on a Sunday afternoon and decided to make an offer as we knew it would not last long. This is where Scott's incredible expertise really paid off. He suggested an elevation clause since we knew there were 4 other interested parties. That suggestion was the reason our offer was accepted over the other parties. Had Scott not suggested that, we would still be looking! Scott & Mark referred us to several professionals in the area that they have worked with for years. Those long-standing relationships are the reason the process literally went without a hitch. My wife and I have been in the mortgage and banking industry for over 60 years combined, so we know great service when we see it. Truly grateful the their guidance and local knowledge. I would strongly and enthusiastically recommend the North Georgia Mountain Duo to anyone looking to purchase or sell in Ellijay/Blue Ridge and surrounding area.
