Emporia is loaded with great realtors and Katie Mathews and her team at Coldwell are the best. Many people consider becoming a realtor, but the profession is so much more than just helping clients buy and sell homes. Katie showcased this as she took on a huge project for us. This project included purchasing a nearly six acre country home five miles outside of city limits which was contingent upon selling our home in Emporia. There were so many layers to the process. I couldnt imagine working with anyone but Katie. She helped us negotiate our country home purchase price. The next step was selling the home we had built just three years earlier. Katie had a team of photographers and videographers come to the house with high end cameras and drones. Katie showcased the best of our house and subdivision. It paid off as we had a dozen showings and received nearly a full price offer five days after we listed it. In many real estate deals the work is all but finished at this point. However, the property we purchased included a lot split, many easements, and establishment of new utility lines. Katie was there every step of the way. We talked almost every day for two months. When I say she was aEURoealways available,aEUR? I mean ALWAYS. My wife and I would text her at midnight with questions and she would get right back to us. She didnt disappear after the deal was done either. She has given her brilliant advice on interior decorating and improvement projects. She has even helped us get quotes and bids for the projects we need done. She goes ABOVE AND BEYOND! Katie has a broker with Coldwell Banker who is tremendous. Katie would bounce ideas off her broker, who is an expert in the field, and get advice on unique aspects of our purchasing deal. She leaves no stone unturned. However, the best advantage Katie has in the Emporia market is not her personality, availability, or expertise. Its the combination of these things along with the fact she is from Emporia and has spent her life here. She knows nearly everyone. Katie and her team knows who built each home in town, the quality of the construction, the market value of each home, and how to get her clients the best deal for what they are looking for.
