This was our second home purchase and we got connected with Chad through Zillow. We were still not fully in the 'home buying' mode when we met him. I'm usually skeptical about real estate agents and the real value they provide, especially when it comes to the buying process. So my intention was to do a thorough research before contracting with an agent. However, Zillow short circuited that process by connecting us with Chad. Very soon, I realized Chad's core differentiators from other agents that I have seen /heard about in the past. The best part of working with Chad was that he never made us feel pressured to get into a contract for many of the houses that we saw with him. He would always lay out the pros and cons and provide us his honest opinion about what he would do if he were in our shoes. That implied that he well understood our preferences, needs, and subtleties to be able to see things through our eyes. He was sensitive to our priorities and his property recommendations and assessments after the visits started aligning with our expectations very quickly. Chad is very thorough with the evaluation of home conditions. He also prepares great reports while doing comp analysis that looks at various aspects of the property pricing, the types of some of which I had not seen before. He also connected us with good prospective lenders and was always prompt in his communications. Towards the end, he also provided us with many references for good contractors, some of whom we ended up using for post purchase upgrade work. Overall, Chad came across as a genuine professional and seemed to see the relationship with us not simply as a transaction, but a bond beyond the transaction. I highly recommend him to anyone who's planning to go to the real estate market with buying/selling needs.
