He is extremely knowledgeable about the real estate market in the Berkshires, where we purchased, and gave honest advice based on his knowledge and experience there. He listens to what you are looking for in a home and will not waste your time with listings that do not meet your criteria; after we searched the listings for months on our own, Tom found us exactly what we wanted after just one short phone call. Rather than show us home after home, he zeroed in on the houses that he thought were intrinsically good (based on location, quality of build, style, value, etc.) and they absolutely met our expectations. He is very attentive to detail, professional yet cordial, and gives great advice throughout the entire process. Tom found us the perfect place to live and work. Which may sound simple, but with two very specific sensibilities at work, it is not. It is amazing! After we decided once and for all on the Great Barrington area, we presented Tom with all our criteria for space, room to expand and make it our own, not too precious, not too fancy, not too much work, either very rural or right in town, this kind of confusing criterial melange. We looked at quite a few places and he was very patient with us. He then synthesized what we were after and thought of a place (he has a through knowledge of the Southern Berkshires) that had been taken off the market. He called the agent that had listed it originally and the house was put back on the market for us! It is fantastic and we couldn't be happier. Besides, Tom is a delight to work with. He makes looking for a place fun, which it should be. He's detail-oriented and picked up on important things during our search as well as during inspection which we would have missed. He made the negotiating process easy and helped facilitate a fair price for us and he continued to be very involved after the offer was accepted, looking out for us right up to closing. In short, we cannot recommend him enough!
