I called Kurtis after he placed a placard on the home I was renting with an inspirational message to buy a home. I gave him my information, he then began sending me homes that fit my criteria over email. I then made an appointment with him to look at 3 different homes. The first home we offered on in Irvine we got. This is a very good scenario considering the market conditions. It speaks volumes about Kurtis ability to write a good offer and business acumen for working with the sell side team. Kurtis then also introduced me to his preferred loan officer: James Savelsberg and everything went smoothly after that. This is my second time buying real estate and while my first transaction was good, this second one because of Kurtis and James, was excellent and sets the bar for every real estate transaction I hope to have in the future. I want to strongly recommend the realtor services of Kurtis Traughber who recently did an outstanding job helping my family find a new home. Kurtis was tireless in highlighting opportunities, giving me and my wife tours of countless properties, conducting legal due diligence to validate various actors, and working with other professionals to complete the transaction. Despite the usual challenges and emotions that can develop in such a critical decision, Kurtis remained cool, objective, and reasonable when presenting and evaluating any of the many factors. Perhaps at the top of Kurtis' merits are strong character and high integrity. For example, I wanted to show a property to a family member that I had visited with Kurtis earlier in the day (among several others). There was a lockbox requiring a 4 digit code. I asked Kurtis for the code, not wanting to bother him yet again. Kurtis replied that he was obligated to be present and unfortunately could not share the code with me, but he was more than happy to meet at the property. I have worked with many realtors over the years and I can't think of one that would not have disregarded this rule. Kurtis has too much respect for the authority implicit in his position to dishonor the trust, regardless of how minor it may seem. That struck a very positive cord because I assume that how someone behaves once is how they will behave always. Thanks to Kurtis my family is now in a home that met every one of our objectives at a cost unexpectedly within our initial budget. Kurtis is a fine realtor.

Kurtis Traughber was my sons referral and friend from church. During the interview process, I told Kurtis that I too was a practicing Christian, so he offered to pray together for myself, my family, and the sale. It is important to point out that Kurtis offered to pray for me before he had gotten the job. I think most people in Kurtis position would have put securing the listing agreement first, and their confession of faith in Jesus second. During the sale for my mothers home, and now that the deal has closed, there is great evidence that our prayers were answered in a powerful way. The difficulties and intricacies of this home ale demanded a professional and would put us at a disadvantage from the start. First, Kurtis had me work with his probate and estate planning attorney to alter my familys trust, so that the home could be sold. The attorney gave me a sizable discount because Kurtis was my agent. Second, over two tons of personal items had to be removed from the home, which were either donated or discarded. Kurtis helped guide me through the process of what items to keep, so that the home would show well. Third, Kurtis began marketing the home sparing no expense. He did a great job because after only 15 hours on the housing market my home received a full price offer (during a buyers market too, June 2025). Kurtis didnt stop there. As we moved through escrow with the first offer a second offer was presented to me. It was lower at first, but Kurtis and I negotiated it up to the full price amount and submitted it as a back-up offer with escrow. It was nothing short of a miracle that we did because on the very the same day that the backup offer would expire the first offer failed to fund escrow. Our home sale did not skip a beat and opened escrow again that same day with the second offer, which would eventually close the deal. During the second escrow, termite repairs were made, a gas leak was discovered, rent abatement was issued, the buyers loan fell through, and working together with Kurtis we managed to close the deal. Our home sale price is now one of the highest in the neighborhood and netted my mother a hefty premium. What I have shared only covers a portion of what Kurtis did to go above and beyond the call of an ordinary REALTOR in Orange County, California.
