Dan did a great job helping me sell a building in SF. I was out of the state during the sale process, and relied on Dan to price the property, meet SF's compliance and disclosures requirements, conduct all showings and negotiate the offers. Dan has great knowledge of the local market, and is very diligent throughout the process. Dan and his team really helped facilitate and coordinate things and took away a lot of headaches for an out-of-state seller like myself.

We are so grateful for Dan's help in purchasing our first home. Dan worked with us for over a year, patiently counseling us on countless properties as were homed in on exactly what we were looking for. We ultimately purchased the house that suited our needs best--and at a price that was fair, in today's very heated Bay Area housing market. Getting to that outcome was possible because Dan was always available to talk and was an excellent sounding board. During site visits, he was able to quickly give us a sense of what potential a property had (or didn't have) for modification. Helpfully, Dan works with a team, so it was always possible to get in to see a property on a schedule that worked with us (two working parents), but of course we visited many property with Dan himself. And when it came time to make an offer, Dan had done everything he could to get information from the selling agent that could help us make sure our offer stood out--or help us modify our offer if necessary during an afternoon of negotiation. I can't recommend Dan enough.

Working with Dan (and his team) was a genuine pleasure. When our existing landlord had doubled our rent, we suddenly found ourselves as first time home buyers thrust into a very competitive market with a very ambitious timeline. We reached out into our friend network and Dan's name was the one name that was enthusiastically offered. We realized that there were a small number of properties in San Francisco that met our requirements (2bd, 2ba, >1000 sq ft, close to downtown). We started doing our own homework, was looking around, going to open houses, and quickly came to realize that we were in a very competitive market and that there were a lot of people chasing a small number of properties that met our criteria. We then found our dream home that met all of our criteria and we saw that they were going to have an open house the following Saturday. Assuming the property had no surprises, we were very concerned that getting into a competitive bid situation. As it turns out, Dan knew the listing agent, quickly did his research and discovered that it was an east coast seller that was highly motivated to sell fast. The property had a complex history and he quickly discovered the back story on the condo and gave us solid information so that we could perform our own risk assessment. He got us the keys that night to see the condo (which we fell in love with), and used his experience with negotiation to get us the property at list and the seller's signature before the open house even happened. He (and his team) walked us through every step in the process and was in constant communication. He and his team worked professionally and efficient with the lender, the escrow agent, etc. to get us to closing a month later. We've moved in now, are unpacked, and every day are delighted to wake up in our beautiful, roomy condo in a safe yet vibrant neighborhood confident in the knowledge that there's no landlord now that can increase our rent. :) We are so present to the value of working with a seasoned real estate agent with deep industry knowledge, connections, with a solid team to back him up. Everything else we were looking at felt like a compromise that would leave us wishing for more. I am confident to say that if we had gone with a less experienced and connected real estate agent, we would not have been able to get everything we wanted at a price we could afford.
