When I stumbled upon Hamilton I found the Bob Patterson Realty Group. At first I was not the least bit interested in buying but after doing my homework and researching crime statistics and good schools for my children, I decided I needed to be in Northern Columbus. Well, many people thought like me apparently because there were only two decent homes that were for rent in North Columbus area and mind you this was in the summer! Not only that but it was outrageously expensive for the amount and quality of house. I went into the Bob Patterson Realty Group and this is when I met Debbie. I told her I was looking for a house to rent and unlike all the realtors in North Columbus that gave me a listing or a website and asked me to review all the houses, the area, then come in, check out a key and go to the property myself; Debbie was actually quite the opposite. She sat down with me, I told her which schools I was considering, and she taught me how to get around the area. She showed me some of the listings on the computer and then took me to look at some of the rentals. I was not pleased with the rentals and so I started to consider buying. I am one that does not like to be pressured because I will only push back when I feel like someone is trying to shove a product down my throat but she never pushed me to buy and I was actually the one that brought it up. She then switched gears, asked me what my budget was and corresponded with me back and forth via e-mail with a listing of possible houses in the area I wanted and within my price range. I made arrangements with her to come down to Columbus again to look at houses with my family and she showed us all the houses we wanted to see. There were some I needed to look at more than once in order to know for sure which was the one and she was patient with us to take us in as many times as necessary until we felt comfortable with our decision. Finally closing day came and it was also the day I was moving. It was a day to remember because I was pregnant, I had a blow-out just South of Atlanta, closing in two hours and was hauling a 12x6 trailer! I got late to closing so she made arrangements to allow me to come in later than usual to accommodate me so we could still close on time. Parking this beast (trailer) was an ordeal and getting it out of the drive way at the closing office was even worse! She went above and beyond and got a person she knew that worked at one of the offices nearby to help me with the trailer and helped me calm down after a super-stressful day! She knew I had not eaten all day from waiting for roadside assistance and the traveling and brought my family and I some dinner as well. This was well above and beyond the call of duty! Ive dealt with many realtors in my life. Frankly, Ive purchased and sold 5 homes and she has by far been the most pleasant to work with and not pushy at all but rather a lasting friend! I recommend her to all my family and friends!
