Particularly for Lamorinda, Vlatka and her nearly two decades of area experience can guide you through some of the quirky nuances of the area and it's houses that were often built in the 1950s and 1960s. (Underneath the high prices, fancy staging, and professional photography, there are quirks!)I met Vlatka independently at an open house (pre covid) and through a mutual acquaintance who was her past client x 3. He told me that he had bought and sold nine homes in his life and Vlatka was the best realtor he had ever worked with. After selling, and then buying, a home with Vlatka during this crazy Covid period, I agree with my friend and highly recommend Vlatka.First, Vlatka is responsive and client orientated. The real estate environment we were in was very much a seller's market. So, our Bay Area home sold partly because it existed; and we were fairly confident of that in the beginning. That said, I had never sold a home before and there are a variety of things a buyer must disclose and be aware of during the process. Vlatka made the process smooth, telling us what we needed to do and giving us recommendations for how to meet those ends.Importantly, Vlatka answered all out our questions and was very accessible via text (an accessibility that carried over to the home purchase process). The house sold for more than I expected so I cannot complain about anything. Second, Vlatka is patient. We probably looked at 50+ homes during our four month search. And, during Covid, there were no open houses. So, realtors had to sign up for home viewing time slots and then accompany their clients to each home. At no point did Vlatka grumble or pressure is into making a decision that wasn't aligned with our strategy. Of course, that strategy changed through the process of the search. But, Vlatka was patient, reasonable, and realistic with her thoughts and feedback of homes we saw in a manner that allowed our search to evolve organically. We spent nearly every Sunday morning for four months with Vlatka (again, 50+ homes viewed). We never tired of her and she never expressed that she was tired of us. Her only question was: do you want to buy a home? If our answer was "yes" (it was) she would have no problem being our realtor and providing consistent, attentive service (and, she did). Lastly, Vlatka knows her neighborhoods. She was able to observe things about houses and neighborhoods that I might not have known or thought about - even through internet searches. Things such as prior landslides, unusual traffic patterns, and how one home in a neighborhood may differ from another. Vlatka's information and insight was invaluable to our decision-making process. In the end, Vlatka set up me and my family for success in finding our new home. We could not have done it without her.

ZillowVERIFIED I have to start with saying that I was always a little skeptical about the role of the realtor as I had done 3 other real estate transactions which were done with very limited involvement of the realtors. I mean we found the property ourselves online and went to open house and decided to buy it and because of competitive bay area market, we bought it AS IS and without a negotiation. Our realtors didn't even care to read the disclosures carefully and only submitted the offer and luckily we won and there was minimal interaction until the closing day....BUT, this time we had a totally different experience...we decided to move to east bay and we fell in love with a house that Vlatka had put in the market and we bid on that house and didn't get it but by talking to Vlatka, my wife and I both realized how knowledgeable and experienced she was and more importantly she showed her honestly immediately. She was an exceptional agent but also went well beyond her job duties to help us prepare the house for sale. We needed to sell our house quickly because of a job change and she was able to recommend a gardener and painters, an excellent stager, as well as some workers to even do some extra lighting work, including adding can lighting. Within two weeks, we were able to transform our house from a well lived-in home with two small children to a home that could've been featured in a magazine. The workers she recommended were not only phenomenal but extremely reasonably priced. When it came time for the open house, Vlatka came with laminated flyers that were very professionally done, complete with a poetic description of our house that perfectly captured its positive features and the warm cottage feel of how the house was prepped and staged. Within the week we received several offers, all six figures above the asking price. We accepted an all cash offer and closed in two weeks. During those two weeks we had a challenging time with our buyers and their agent and Vlatka was very impressive, carefully handling them professionally and bringing the contract to a conclusion on the day of close. There were stressful moments and Vlatka always kept informed, whether 5 am or midnight, and always recommended a path forward that ended up being the right choice.
