Vernon Mason III has over 20 years of sales experience in hospitality, retail, banking, business management, finance, and real estate. As an active agent and investor in Virginia, Vernon developed a unique talent for listing management and buyer negotiations. Powered by his experience, education, and community involvement with local and nationwide organizations, Vernon is determined to provide the highest level of client service with the up-most honesty, integrity, and distinction.

Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Vernon grew up determined to strive in a military career like his bloodline going back three generations. From the Navy to the Marines, his family have dedicated their time to serve our nation. With his heart set on the United States Army, an unfortunate and almost life threatening event happened that disqualified him from his highly sought after career. He was diagnosed with a rare and dangerous heart virus that forced multiple open heart surgeries.

However, that didn't stop Vernon from finding another path to success and serving our communities. Instead of quitting, Vernon went on to earn his bachelors degree, the first in his family. From the University of Arkansas, he double majored in Marketing and Economics. He then moved from state to state for various career management driven opportunities until he set his sights on Virginia Beach. In love with its culture, history, and natural beauty, Vernon made his decision to move in October, 2011 to the Oceanfront and quickly became a true local. After bad experiences with real estate agents, Vernon decided that the community needed his help to improve the buying and selling experience. Vernon also actively participates in community events such as Watch D.O.G.S. for elementary schools, Habitat for Humanity, and various school organizations and was awarded the Presidential Community Service Award by President Barrack Obama in 2016.

In his off time, he enjoys renovating distressed properties to rejuvenate communities, training in martial arts, staying active in the gym, playing sports on and off the beach, and enjoying every second with his family.
