About Tyesha Dowdy
I'm Tyesha Dowdy, born and raised in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. Later in life, I moved to Virginia, where I met my fiance and together we're raising our two wonderful children. Family has always been my greatest motivation, and they're the reason I decided to take a leap of faith into real estate. For me, this career is about more than just buying and selling homes--it's about creating opportunities, building legacies, and breaking generational standards. I'm passionate about helping families and individuals find a place they can truly call home, while also creating a better life for my own children. With dedication, determination, and heart, I'm committed to guiding others through one of the most important decisions of their lives--because I believe everyone deserves a home and a future filled with possibilities.
Community Involvement
Giving back has always been close to my heart. As a mother and community member, I understand the importance of ensuring children have the tools they need to succeed. Each year, I proudly support Newport News schools by supplying students with book bags and school supplies. This initiative is about more than just pencils and notebooks--it's about empowering the next generation, relieving families of added stress, and showing kids that their community cares about their future. I believe that when we invest in our children, we invest in a stronger, brighter tomorrow.
HOBBIES/INTEREST
Outside of real estate, I enjoy the simple joys of life that keep me grounded and connected to my loved ones. Cooking is one of my favorite ways to bring family and friends together--whether it's trying out new recipes or preparing comfort meals that remind me of home. Family time is at the center of everything I do, and I cherish every moment spent caring for and making memories with my fiance and our children. When time allows, I also love to travel. Exploring new places, cultures, and experiences not only inspires me but also reminds me of the importance of living fully and embracing every opportunity life has to offer.
FAMILY
Family is the heart of who I am. I'm blessed to share life with my fiance and our two amazing boys--one full of energy at 6 years old, and our newest bundle of joy, just 2 months old. They are my daily motivation and the reason I strive to create a better future. I'm also the youngest of five siblings, raised by two loving parents who instilled in me the values of hard work, resilience, and compassion. The lessons I learned growing up in a big family continue to shape how I show up as a mother, partner, and professional today.
