About Tristan Emond
I am a hard working real estate agent that has been in the business since 2006. I specialize in residential first time homebuyers, military transferees to Ellsworth Air Force Base, vacation home buyers, and relocation customers. I enjoy working with buyers to help them find the house they love to make their lives just that much better.
I love computers, technology and gadgets, trying my best to implement them as much as possible to increase exposure to listings, improve communication, and hey - have fun with!
I am passionate about customer service. I bend over backwards to make sure my clients are taken care of. If I don't know the answer, I'll find out!
In 2010, my wife joined me in real estate and we became The Emond Team. Then we made a huge leap in July of 2016 by opening our own independent real estate brokerage - Mindful Living Realty. It was the best decision we've ever made.
Since then, we've added our son Michael to the team, helped many people across the country move to Rapid City, and sold some pretty amazing properties.

The first step to purchasing a home (like, even before the preapproval) is to understand what you are looking for - make your list and know what things are must haves compared to wants and desires. Then when we get together to start the process, we have a baseline to start. Now that might change quickly based on budget and timelines (so don't put your heart into your list)...then we can pivot where necessary. It's a fluid process - be ready to go with the flow! When you are looking to sell your Rapid City and Black Hills area home, the more you can do to provide the "wow" factor from the first time a buyer walks up to your front door, the better your chances of getting your home sold quickly and for the best price. Buyers can get picky over little things...so if they don't want to buy your house, someone else that will love it WILL! It's a process that takes time, patience and more patience. Be willing to take things as they come and go with the flow. And then we'll get your Rapid City home sold!
In 2006 at the age of 30 and 4 kids, I decided it was time to quit my labor intensive job. I applied for a "computer person" job with the biggest commercial real estate agents in Rapid City at the time. From there I got my license and decided...well...if I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do it right and my way. Loving the personal touch of residential real estate, I started building my own business while assisting the commercial realtor. By 2010, I added my wife to the business. In 2016, my wife and I opened our own independent real estate firm, Mindful Living Realty.
I focus on specific training to help showcase homes and provide value to buyers thinking about moving to Rapid City. I've been a part of many trainings and groups that taught the best way to promote properties and the area through video. I've been to the best video real estate conference in the country for the past 4 years. Plus I've been doing this for almost 20 years, so experience and hard knocks has taught me everything needed to get our clients from contract to close.
