I always tell my buyers clarity and preparation are everything. Before you start touring homes, take the time to really define what home means for you. What lifestyle are you building? What communities fit that? Once you’ve got that picture, get your financing in order early so you’re ready to act when the right home appears, because in markets like Scottsdale and Paradise Valley, the best homes move quickly. I also encourage buyers to educate themselves on the market — that’s where I come in. I love walking clients through the numbers, trends, and comparable sales so they feel confident and informed. Buying a home should be exciting, not overwhelming, and with the right strategy and support, it absolutely can be.

The most important thing is to start with your why. Are you upsizing, downsizing, relocating - and when do you want to move? Once I know that, we can price and position your home strategically to meet your goals. Presentation is huge. Today’s buyers shop with their eyes first, so decluttering, staging, and great photography are non-negotiable. And pricing correctly from the start is key. The market will tell us where the sweet spot is, and my job is to help you land there confidently. I work with a pretty wide range of clients - from first-time buyers who are thrilled to get the keys to their very first home, to luxury sellers with multimillion-dollar estates in Paradise Valley or Scottsdale. I also do a lot of work with relocation clients coming from out of state - often from California, Washington, or the Midwest - who are looking for that perfect Arizona lifestyle. What I’ve found is that regardless of price point, everyone wants the same thing: to feel heard, informed, and represented. That’s my focus with every client.

One of my favorites was helping a couple move here from out of state. They couldn’t be in Arizona for most of the process, so I previewed homes for them, sent detailed videos, and walked them through everything virtually. We found them a home that checked every box - mountain views, great community, and within their budget - and they closed within a month. They told me afterward that they felt like I was “their eyes and ears” here in Scottsdale, and that meant the world to me. Real estate is personal - you’re helping people start a new chapter - and moments like that remind me why I love what I do.

Real estate has been in my blood since day one. I grew up in a real-estate family in Seattle, so it was part of my world from an early age. But before jumping in, I actually earned my Master’s degree in Teaching from Washington State University and even worked for Howard Schultz at Starbucks. That experience taught me a ton about leadership, marketing, and delivering exceptional client experiences. When I transitioned into real estate, it felt like a natural fit - I could blend my love of people, education, and marketing all into one career. I’ve been doing it ever since, and I honestly can’t imagine doing anything else.

Absolutely. My teaching background has been such an asset — I love educating clients and breaking down complex parts of the process so it all feels manageable and clear. I’m also a Certified Luxury Property Specialist, which gives me access to advanced marketing tools and global exposure through Coldwell Banker Luxury. On top of that, I’m always learning — from market analytics to digital marketing strategies.
